Lost Hiker

Sunshine on me, I'm on fire
No matter how high I climb, I can go higher
When I lose my way, I keep this in mind
With sunshine on my face, everything is fine

yea...man I ain't seen anybody in like hours
ain't seen the trail either
yea but I ain't really lost
maybe I'll find someone else who's lost...like...
how you doin? no how you doin? ya know?

Sunshine on me, I'm on fire
No matter how high I climb, I can go higher
When I lose my way, I keep this in mind
With sunshine on my face, everything is fine

Back Country Skier

One night not too long ago it was cold and crisp and the moon was out
and I had an AT ski setup I had never used so I headed over to Hurricane
Mountain Road which is closed in the winter because it's too steep to plow.

I strapped on my gear and was so excited I got going way to fast and
overheated and had to slow my roll. I stood there looking down at the rushing
river and thought, "Man I better stay on the road on the way down," found my
rhythm and made my way to the top.

When I got there I realized I couldn't feel my hands or my face or my...
anything really and the thought occurred to me this could be how it ends
for me, ya know? But if so...

At least I was a
I was a back country skier
I was a
I was a back country skier

So I stood there in my morbid trance staring at the moon and I saw a halo start
to fill the sky and the longer I looked the more I realized it wasn't the moon
at all, it was a beautiful blonde lady looking at me and she said, "Get your stuff
together baby and let's head down," and I was like, "Yea, you're going down? I'm
going down too, yea, let's go down!"

You know she was a
She was a back country skier
She was a
She was a back country skier

Now the road's pretty narrow so I was pretty much tryin not to die on the way down
at the bottom she looked me square in the eye and said, "How does it feel to ski
the back country?" and I said, "I don't know if I'd call what I was doin skiing but,"

I want to be a
I'll be a back country skier
She was a
She was a back country skier
I'll be a
I'll be a back country skier
She was a
She was a back country skier

Funny Word

Shampoo that's a funny word
Lollygag is a funny word
Noob is a funny word
Dingus that's a funny word

Hear what I mean, not what I say
What did you hear anyway?
Know what I mean? Nope.

Toe jam, that's a funny word
Dipthong is a funny word
Bupkis, that's a funny word
Almost don't matter what I said
but it matters what you heard

What did you mean when you say?
This song slaps, it's a bop, man it slays
Know what I mean? Nope.

Shampoo and diphthong... right, yea but still
dip dip, dip dip dip, diphthong
get it

Hear what I mean, not what I say
What did you hear anyway?
Know what I mean? Nope.

Hearts Apart

Every time we have to be apart
I lose a little piece of my heart
I need to feel you near me
for my heart to be free

Some people like to play the field
They throw themselves at everything they feel
Oh honey that ain't me
I believe that love is real

I need to feel you near me
for my heart to be free

Easy

It ain't always easy to know what to say
I know you hear me but sometimes I don't mean it that way
But oh when you're near me I rise high up above
Fill the air with love

It ain't always easy to be in love
I know you feel me and sometimes maybe that's just too much
But oh when you're near me I feel the stars up above
You're what I'm thinkin of

But oh when you're near me I fly the skies up above
Fill our hearts with love

Connected

Everything we are in connected by the universe and
Even though we just can't help it when we yell and scream again
We're yellin right back at ourselves, we don't know it but it
All comes right back round again and again

When we send love out to the world
We get back much more than we give

I'm connected to you and you're connected to me
Everything that we touch and everything that we see
Part of a lovely world, big beautiful and free
Can't spend the rest of our lives watchin it on TV

Everything that we are and everything we can be
Come on let's give it a try with our love and let's see

Let's send some love out to the world
We'll get back much more than we give

Everything we are is connected
Everything we are is connected
Everything we are is connected
Everything we are is connected

Do Your Thing

Ain't no way to know you're gonna fall or you can make it
Take a swing and do your thing even if you fake
Do, just do, your thing

Time is gonna fly you got to give up on the waiting
Look around it's going down no more hesitating
Do, just do, your thing

Come on get up on your feet when you're feeling that beat
And shake that thing till the last call bell goes ding.
If you want to up and sing no matter what you bring
throw it all around and make em hear your sound

When you do, we'll all be feeling it too
When you do, we'll all be feeling it too

Just Be You

When there's nothin to do, just those same old blank four walls and you
No one around, your guitar starts to make a magic sound

It's time to get your feet back on the ground
No nothing else will do, just be you

Yea when you're riding high, things so good yea you just don't dare ask why
Cuz before you know, you're so low you got no choice but to take it slow

And try to get your feet back where you know
No nothing else will do, just be you

$1000 Toaster

Don't need a $1000 toaster, don't need a Bentley for a car
Don't need a five star reservation to know exactly where we are

We got everything, all we need is right here
Mountains, music, warm people and a cold beer

Please don't take offense but that showy shit's all nonsense
If you need a reason why, I'm a White Mountain guy

When I get too hot I'm in the river, when I get too high I slide down the hill
Cathedral Maple shot my liver, Barley and Salt gave me my fill

We got everything, all we need is right here
Music, Mountains, warm people and a cold beer

Please don't take offense but that showy shit's all nonsense
If you need a reason why, I'm a White Mountain guy

Weston's

By the Saco hangin in the sun
Yea we're chillin cuz the workin is all done
And the water washes me clean
And we're drinkin so just maybe stand up stream

And the water's calling us down
it's the coolest river hang around
and the water washes me clean
And we're drink yea so maybe stand up stream

Whoa whoa man you might want to give me a little bit
of a perimeter right now I...woo!

Black Mountain Boogie

I'm gonna climb that hill one shuffle at a time
Up to that tiny lodge every Friday night
And have a couple beers with 20 of my closest stranger friends
Go down and do it again

These indie hills we ride, the soul of winters past
They ain't the biggest size but they're an old school blast
Let's have a couple beers with 20 of my closest stranger friends
Go down and do it again

Since 1935 we ride that old rope tow
Les Otten tried to buy, the pub is now Lostbo
Let's have a couple beers with 20 of my closest stranger friends
Go down and do it again
